According to the study, adults who ate fresh fruits daily reduced to one – third the chances of having a heart attack or stroke compared with those who did so irregularly.

How the data were obtained?
Dr. Li collected data on more than half a million adults aged 30 to 79 years between 2004 and 2009 with no history of heart disease of any kind.
During the years of the study they ate the equivalent of half a cup of fruit every day and monitoring checks the result was overwhelming: decreased risk for major cardiac and vascular diseases.
This study came on April 7th to the United States where a team of experts in the field led by Dr. Gregg Fonarow, professor of cardiology at the University of California, conducted its own investigations and confirmed that diets rich in fruits have much to see with decreased risk of suffering from heart disease.
